The family was super friendly and really made us feel at home. Mr. Vu took us to a very nice motorbike trip around the area and also showed us their guava garden. He also arranged a very nice private boat tour on the river. They cooked very good food for us, and we could also learn how to make Vietnamese food. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean

Mekong Rustic Cai Be, hotel in Cai Be

Featuring garden views, Mekong Rustic Cai Be in Cai Be provides accommodation, an open-air bath and a garden.

Loved the rustic vibe of the homestay. The food was fresh and delicious. The homestay members were extremely helpful and accommodating, all the while ensuring that we were having a good time. They were so thoughtful to pack us a hearty breakfast with fresh mangoes right from their garden because we had to checkout quite early. The tour arranged by them to experience the local market, handicrafts, and fruit garden was truly a pleasure. Sau who was our local guide is a wonderful woman. Nhi and Nhan were wonderful hosts who helped us navigate through the unknowns and were always just a chat away for any help requested. I would highly recommend staying in this homestay and experiencing the local scenes in a cycle.

Beautiful hotel next to the Mekong river. Staff here is very friendly and super helpful. They arranged everything for us, including bike tour, boat tour and transport from Ho Chi Minh. The hotel is very nice, rooms are beautiful too with very large bathrooms! The restaurant is also very good with a large choice. Everything was perfect, we should have stayed longer

Mekong Pottery Homestay, Green-Friendly & Boat Tour, hotel in Cai Be

Boasting free bikes and views of garden, Mekong Pottery Homestay, Green-Friendly & Boat Tour is a recently renovated homestay situated in Vĩnh Long, 44 km from Vincom Plaza Xuan Khanh.

Such a lovely home stay! A beautiful garden oasis with every detail thought of… lovely teas, soft towels, custom made white cotton robes and an outdoor shower with tile and stone work that makes you feel like you are in a fairy land. Yennie’s welcoming generosity makes you feel at home and the food is fresh and delicious. The geckos chirp at night right outside your room and Yennie will make you a cocktail with purple butterfly flowers from the garden. The tour we took on the river with a pottery workshop, puffed rice candy making and rice paper pancakes was fascinating. And definitely don’t miss the market, so many different types of fruits vegetables, and live seafood. A restaurant at the market served the best Pho I’ve ever had. I wish I could have staid longer! Highly recommend!

Cool town on Mekong river with peaceful views and friendly people. There are so many activities to do like visiting fruit plantation, sitting on boat along a narrow channel with 2 green along the way. I like the most seeing sunrise at Bo Song Quan coffee and Huong Quan food is great!!

Not a huge amount to do in this area.

Not a huge amount to do in this area. It’s a great getaway to relax and unwind in a resort. To get there from HCM I would use a bus company to the tourist port. You can cycle around but there isn’t a huge amount to see. Not lots of choice of places to eat outside the hotel. Lots of rubbish sadly, would be great to see some conservation projects or community clearing projects to help with this.

The property is very well laid out with duplex units on the river, lake or garden. All very nice. The bath is spacious and the little deck nice to enjoy the views. The pool is large although too shallow on one side. Great for the toddlers. The breakfast is good if it’s the buffet but if you order by menu just so so. Restaurant serves nicely prepared dishes at resort prices. Thr staff as usual in Vietnam is eager to help. We arrived by rented scooter and had some trouble with it. Three guys were omit and had the problem fixed in a jiffy.

I loved the one night I spent at this homestay. The host went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time and all the information I needed. He even taking us out on a boat tour with just the other hotel guests which was great fun. I really felt so welcome and cared for. The lodging themselves are very spacious and comfortable and I thought offered good value for money. I liked that they provided all the meals at a small cost because not so many places to eat around.

Amazing experience staying in Cai Be at Sao Mai Hotel. Vu and his family really take care of you here. When you stay here you will be fed delicious home made meals and have the opportunity to speak with Vu and his family, getting a better understanding of Vietnam and the Mekong region. They will help you with everything in your stay whether it be food, tours, bus tickets and onward travel! Room was very comfortable with hot water and AC. Thank you for everything!

This was the best accommodation we’ve had, hands down. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the garden beautiful & peaceful and our hosts were warm and welcoming. Our river tour with Nhi was an absolute highlight - we saw and experienced so much. Yes it’s rustic and doesn’t have all of the comforts of a city hotel, but that’s the point! It was the only time we felt that we truly got away from the tourist traps and experienced the real Vietnam.

A very clean and spacious house, with a comfortable outside area in a very nice , leafy part of Cai Be, we did very nice walks through narrow paths off the main street, tiny canals in people’s gardens, an unexpected school in the middle of maize of small paths, one feels that the jungle starts just behind this part of the city. There is also a very neat restaurant with AC room next door.

The location is very special, with large gardens and grounds right on the river you couldn’t ask for a more ideal setting. The pool area is lovely and the staff were very helpful. The hotel manager Duy personally took care of us - he helped book our bus to the next destination, expertly administered first aid when we needed it, and gave us some interesting facts about the Mekong.

Lovely if slightly rustic hotel on the Mekong Delta. Food was really delicious, much better than some previous reviews suggested. Great tours, free bike hire appreciated. Seamless communication with booking.com taxis regarding pick up and drop off (as have to access from a boat). Overall great relaxing time.

I adored this little place by the river! Very homey vibes and way bigger than expected. There's a kitchen, a bathtub, two beds, a sofa and armchairs to relax and read. Bicycles also available to move around Cai Be town. Having breakfast with the boats passing by is priceless, I will definitely be back!

This spacious property is exactly like the photos and very thoughtfully designed. The owners were incredibly helpful on check-in, check-out, and with any questions we had, including organising the bus to leave Caí Be. They also adapted the breakfast for our diet at the last minute.
