Absolutely AMAZING stay here! The views are the real star of the show and are well worth the price - try and get a corner room as these have windows along from AND side giving amazing panoramic views of the valley below.
Bathroom was fab and the balcony was such a nice treat too. It’s a bit of a (steep!!) climb up from the road, but well worth the effort.

Meo Vac is in a stunning part of the Ha Giang loop the scenery is breathtaking!! . BUT BE WARNED... most of the featured so called 26 or more "HOMESTAYS " are in a totally artificial new, so called brand new "VILLAGE" outside and completely cut off from the town of Meo Vac itself. This seems to be a very popular choice with Vietnamese tourists but we found it quite bizarre.. and nightly Karaoke is a speciality.!!! a sort of sanitised Disneyland version of what it should be.. The "Homestay village" is a tourist trap and very expensive!! and totally unreal!!!.
There are real Homestays in the town where you can get the feel of the real Vietnam...

Nice room (beds are very hard), nice staff.
Nice room (beds are very hard), nice staff.
Just so you know there is a lot of construction on the site wich does not take away anything from the beautiful surrounding.
Family dinner was good and fun but cold. Same for breakfast.
Overall nice place, we would definitly go back.
