Nearly a 5 star rating and would've been had their pool been in operation (advertised on Booking.com "swimming pool"). Looked like it hadn't been maintained....but they were cleaning it while I was there. The location amongst the rice paddies is very scenic, and it's far enough away from the main road to be quiet and peaceful. Though an easy walk to get there. The rooms are very modern and look quite new. My room was not very big, but it was adequate for 2 nights. It was air-conditioned and had a big comfy, soft bed, a flatscreen TV, good WiFi, and a private bathroom (good hot water). The hotel's grounds are well decorated with lots of love heart statues, a windmill, a viewing platform with a stairway to a photo platform (overlooking the rice paddies). There's a fire pit, a small bungalow for relaxing/eating in, koi ponds with a bridge and gardens throughout. It's quite suited for loving couples on a romantic getaway. The reception area is also the dining area, with an upstairs section, but you need to order food in advance. They offer an OK selection of food and beverages too. There is also plenty of parking out the front and an undercover area for scooters/bikes. I really enjoyed my stay and they are pet friendly too. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Than Uyen.

The owners are lovely :-) The food was very tasty. The view is exceptional. They are a small family, making an effort to provide a great space to relax, it's hard amongst all the bigger companies who attract the tourists. I was very happy to stay here. If you don't mind a basic room and prefer to support small families making their way into the tourist scene then definitely stay here. If you're looking for luxury then perhaps it's not your cuppa tea. Personally I was happy ;-)
