Beautiful, clean and well developed place, the drivers seem to be very friendly and thoughtful people on the road, it’s also very safe but driving there was challenging because of the sharp curves and steep slopes.

The roads were realy good, more of a slower pace than im used to. The town really clean, when you step out of the city centre and you head up the mountains then you get really great views. The dam also a nice place to visit. lots of shops but didnot get time to go shopping was only there for the night

There is a lot of natural beauty with stunning views of wolk berge mountains near by and the local wood forests. There is a lot to see and do. At Letaba we did a river boat cruise, saw wild animals that were tamed for the film industry (very well looked after) , ate delicious food, had a local coffee and lunch at Krabbefontein and went to see the Debangeni waterfalls. We also did a cheese-making tour where you can sample several cheeses made at the farm and visited the blueberry farm for blueberry pie. A beautiful place with a view is King Walden with a huge luxurious garden. Overall a wonderful destination to visit. Its also a convenient stop over to use to come back to Johannesburg from the Kruger National Park. Also great value for money. A secret gem for sure!

There is definitely a lot to explore around the Tzaneen area, if you like cabins and hiking trails plus markets and nature plus waterfalls and boat cruise, berry picking, there is a brewery and local art galleries and artefacts and special unconventional places then definitely you love the area. It’s beautiful forest and scenic area with breath taking views and beautiful lodges, airbnbs and hotels as well. There are a variety of restaurants you can eat at and activities such as crocodiles farms and horseback riding plus many other adventurous activities.

The room is spacious , clean and Air-conditioned considering the hot weather in Tzaneen. The bar fridge in the room really helped to keep our food fresh. There was almost everything we needed in the kitchen (plates, glasses and cutlery) The guy that assisted us made sure that we comfortable and also offered a complementary night for the confusion we had at check in. 😁

Palmwag Tzaneen is a very nice guest house with traditional style rooms in a relaxing, natural environment with a large pond. Chickens wander around freely. Ken and Celia are great hosts, who are ready to answer your questions and help you whenever necessary. The food was also great.
