It was very clean and the room was comfortable and had lovely furnishings. Our host was attentive and friendly and we were happy there was a restaurant and some shops next door with chickens and ducks roaming freely outside. We enjoyed the stay and wished we had stayed longer!

This property was lovely, the directions we were sent were perfect and we were very grateful for them as we arrived just after it had gotten dark. The cottage was cosy and comfy. We loved the outlook towards the mountains in the distance.
Wisdom, the host, was an absolute star. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We loved having a fireplace - even in January. A fire was lit every night. We loved the dogs visiting. And the cat. It was great having the horses on the property too.
We enjoyed the tranquility and nearby walks.

Great place to stay if you want to unwind and take some time off the grid. Perfect place to disconnect from all the stress and pressure of life. Definitely need a 4x4 or an all wheel drive vehicle.
No restaurants or any other facilities close-by.
Closest town is Underberg and mostly travel by gravel road.
Wouldn't change anything and will definitely be back.

Great location and very quick response from the host when any questions/requests were sent through.
Overall we had a great stay and it was everything a rustic location should be. We’d definitely go back.
A few recurring issues remain (from previous reviews) and a couple of comments from myself:
- the sliding doors don’t lock and are very stiff on the slide
- gas bottle ran out on our first night. It was replaced first thing next day, but meant no cooking on that morning due to load shedding
- the games are missing key pieces and are not in great condition
- there is a tv but you need to take all leads to connect it to any device you take. There is no dvd player or other media device connected to the tv.

Stunning landscape with open space and rolling green hills wherever you look. It was overcast and misty during our stay, which just made the views more striking. Lots of nice places to eat, museum and shops to visit.

A beautiful town looking into the Southern Drakensberg. Beautiful scenery. Lovely hikes.
Good clean air. Brilliant for those that enjoy the outdoors. Need to have own transport.
Has a Spare, Pep and Ackerman's in the town. Petrol garages available. Little eateries available and KFC. Personally I like being on the hiking trails around. Sani Pass is near so is Drakensberg Gardens. Plenty of B&B's and Cottages for accommodation.

Very friendly people.
Very friendly people. Grind cafe has the most delicious pizzas. A drink and view from Sani highest pub, is a must.
Used Major adventures, to take me up, they are so professional and informative.
Other family members walked the Sani Choc walk. So much to do in close proximity to where we were staying.
Lake Glencairn was amazing, peaceful, beautiful and quite. Definitely a place to stay at if you want to zone out from the hustle bustle of the city. Close to Sani Pass, beautiful drives and scenery, about 10 mins from Underberg town. We would definitely visit again! Staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartment was super clean with large rooms, comfortable beds, a great lounge area that looked out on the farm and a small pond.
We got upgraded from a B&B reservation to Self Catering Accommodation with no price changes due to availability. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you want to tour Sani Pass which is +/-20 minutes away. The property has a huge garden for guests to stroll and soak up the sun. We stayed in winter when nights reached below zero temperatures, but felt so comfortable due to the electric bed warmers.
The setting of the whole Hotel complex is lovely, located in the bowl of the mountains, with easy, short walks nearby and more strenuous ones into the mountains easily accessible. Since I was last there it has expanded a lot with numerous play areas for young and older people. There is plenty to do and so much choice. My husband and I had out Honeymoon here in June 1964 and have been back many times over the years.
The location of the Drakensberg Gardens resort and particularly Fairways is absolutely fabulous, there is something for everyone; hiking, biking, golf, fishing, many kiddies fun areas, teenage places to escape and still be safe, with attentive staff all over. The unit 124 at Fairways has everything you need for a family / friend group stay. Having a washing machine and tumble drier makes longer stays very easy.
The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, even having a hair dryer, a rarity in South Africa! The setting, with sweeping views of the mountains, is spectacular, and the location is very convenient, just a short drive from restaurants in Underberg. Barry, our host, was warm, friendly, and very helpful!
The owners - Huck and Elsbe were wonderful - friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They own the Lemon Tree Restaurant in Underberg - a brilliant place for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and the best cappuccino in the Drakensberg! Walking in their gardens alongside the river was just sublime.
The place was very well stocked to provide for self catering. Loved the little doggies, especially Holly who joined us for our walk to the little dam. Barry and Jen were awesome host and was extremely accommodating and friendly. Definitely a return for us...
The location of the cottage was perfect, very close to Underberg yet it didn't feel like it. Cottage was lovely and quiet, sitting on the verandah was very relaxing. Facilities had everything needed for our stay. Hostess was friendly and very accomodating.
A cute little cottage with two bedrooms and all amenities. It had wonderful, peaceful views of the mountains and farmlands and fields of cosmos - beautiful! Conveniently located to Underberg and a stone's throw away from Underberg country club.
Close to Sanni pass.
Close to SPAR Underberg.
Great location.
Gas stove and load shedding lights helped during load shedding
Lungi the lady that welcomed us was very pleasant and helpful. She is an gem to this establishment.
A very pleasant experience staying at Twin peaks. My hosts were very friendly, and the unit was very comfortable for my requirements. Highly recommend anyone to make use of the facility when visiting the Underberg area.
Silo Cottage is in a beautiful location with lovely views of the Drakensberg. The house is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy a self catered stay near Underberg. Great spot to stay with friends or family.
Being a self catering venue, the location is ideally located close to Supermarkets, service stations, etc to ensure that all required supplies could be sought
Comfy place in Underberg with all the facilities you need. Beds were comfy and loved the little living space, which was very bright with the large windows
