The drive to get there is over a very small road, which needs snow chains when there is snow - but once you are there it is great. The cottage itself is spacious, has a fireplace, large bedrooms and all facilities needed. The host guided us through the house and explained everything in detail. Outside, on the shallow slopes we could sledge in the snow and make great walks.

A short walk above Grindelwald railway station the hotel is close enough to ALL transport systems but in a quiet spot. The rooms are clean and comfortable with new modern bathroom facilities. There is a wonderful view of the Eiger North Face from the balcony. The reception area doubles up as a cosy traditional lounge with a small bar. Plus the hotel has an ultra modern 5* spa with spa pool, sauna and steam rooms - Absolutely brilliant! Oh - and breakfast was great too😊
