We had a wonderful time in the charming and marvellous old finca (spanish farm stone cottage) which is located in the most beautiful area of the island Gran Canaria in the north-west close to the Valle de Agaete surrounded by green mountains called "los Andes Verdes" (green Andes). At each corner of the finca we had a marvellous view to the nature and mountains, especially from the terrace we enjoyed it so much. Our host Pablo and his father were very friendly and highly supportive and brought us wonderful fruit from their own plants which are growing all around the house so we had every day the best fresh breakfast directly from the garden, what a wonderful present! For check-in, Pablo picks you up from the closest parking (called "Parking público El Sao de Agaete") and brings you up to the finca in his 4x4 manual SUV as you can't reach the house with a rented SUV. He also brings you back to the parking at checkout. So make sure, before you go to the place to buy your food in advance before check-in in a local supermarket (eg. HiperDino in Gáldar) to assure the SUV transport to the house :) Otherwise you need to carry everything on your own 15min on an extremely steep path hiking all the way up ;) In the morning you will meet Pablos father and his dog Aria taking care of the plants and building the area all around the house. The dog was very friendly as well and is a typical Canarian race. (In case you are afraid of big dogs you should let Pablo know and he will leave him in a protected place) We highly enjoyed the house and area and did many different hikes all around and nearby (eg. to a restaurant in El Hornillo). We even hiked and walked from El Sao to Agaete and Puerto de las Nieves (11km one way) through the marvellous mountains and valley of Agaete. In Puerto de las Nieves you can have delicious waffles and icecream at the supermarket SPAR in the centre (hint: try the Turrón ice cream there!

Lovely place to stay in the quiet north west of the island. David answered any contact promptly, had a baby crib set up for us. The pool was a lovely feature, very nice house. We would recommend it and come back again.

We were very happy to have stayed at this apartment in Agaete. - First of all, the views on the terrace were stunning. I was so thankful to have breakfast looking at the mountains and the beach. It is a private terrace, just for you. It gets a lot of sun, so you can tan on the lounge chairs provided. - The host, Paulo, was very kind. He greeted us with a big smile while he met us at the parking, and handed us the key. - Parking is easily found on the street right above the apartment. - The apartment itself was fully stocked up with all the equipments you needed, the high ceiling is awesome, design of the place is so cute, and also super clean! - We were able to walk to Agaete downtown and the beach very easily. Maybe 10 min walk to the town, and 15 min to the beach. Very accessible, and well-located. If I were to visit Gran Canaria again, I would definitely definitely stay here again! We recommend this place 100% and more :)

Perfect location with great view. Outdoor kitchen was nice and the pool also. Carlota does a good job maintaining the whole garden and house. On weekdays she is there in the morning. Superfast wifi inside the house and by the pool.

Set overlooking the sea in a very rural part of Gran Canaria with excusite vistas. Our sea view room was large, and the beds were super comfortable. There was also a lovely balcony. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel appears to generally cater for all-inclusive, but we just did B&B. There is a beautiful restaurant at the puerto called Ragu which has outstanding Italian food and I would highly recommend. We will definitely return to this hotel and Agaete.

Parking is for free nearby and atmosphere in the city as well as in the hostel are super relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed the yoga class, sitting outdoors or relaxing in the hammock. The room was comfy and just a bit noisy due to the road close by. The kitchen is also well equipped.

The pool area is comfortable, lovely to lie on the loungers under the orange trees with the scent of blossom. The staff are charming. The water is hot, the room (2) large and airy. The restaurants just down the road in Puerto de las Nieves are very good, delicious food and not expensive, we went down each evening.MathesonYoung couple
