Such a wonderful location, we had a lovely walk down the river with our pooch! Making it dog friendly is a massive plus for us, even the rain didn’t put us off! How it’s been decorated is beautiful, you’ve certainly made the most of the space and I have never rented a place with such a well equipped kitchen!! Perfect for pancake day!! I definitely recommend this place!

Definitely recommend booking Brook Cottage if you’re in the area… it’s in a stunning location with wonderful views and yet still incredibly close to amenities, pubs, cafes and the Picturedrome. The attention to detail is fabulous and it’s clear the cottage has been lovingly renovated to deliver all the cosiness you’ll love, with a modern twist. We were particularly touched to see milk in the fridge and snacks in the cupboard, and the number of USB chargers around the place worked well for us too. The property is spotlessly clean and tidy as well as very tastefully decorated - a real home from home.

The log fire, was so cosy, and we lit it the last evening we were there, as it was a special getaway, for my husband’s birthday. The bed is comfy and the bathroom spacious, it was nice also that there was a little country garden yard. To sit in after a lovely day in Holmfirth village.
