We had a fantastic time at Villa Mara - it is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and the photos don’t do it justice. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home, with lots of help and recommendations. It is beautifully decorated inside and outside, and the pool is an added bonus. The villa is in a little village in the hills above Korcula town, and hence away from the hustle and bustle, and quiet and peaceful as a result. We didn’t have transport but taxis are easy to come by and inexpensive. There is a small supermarket and an excellent restaurant that are each just a 1 minute walk away.

We adored the house, especially the lush green surroundings that made spending time on the terrace a delight. Though the host was absent, we had prior communication, and he ensured we had everything we required. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped, including a set of excellent knives, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented before. The beach is really near and while it's nothing spectacular about it, I appreciated that it was not crowded.

Location is phenomenal. The sea/beach is directly in front of the house and Korcula old town is a evening walk away. In the yard there is a lot of space for playing, dining and relaxing. The house is really well equipped and beautiful, everything was clean. Nadica and her husband were kind, helpful and hospitable.

Nights are even better, I never saw so many stars and so bright milky way. Host was very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of tips where else to go, which restaurants to visit etc...

The location is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Then owners are super friendly, helpful and not intrusive at all. The house is well fitted with everything you need. Both en-suite rooms are spacious with cupboard space and fans. The patio and barbecue area is stunning. We loved our stay!!

The accommodation is perfect. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and there is even an additional bathroom (with two washing machines!) downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean (there are three fridges in total! And a freezer in the kitchen downstairs). The barbeque is a nice touch. The pool is fantastic. Only a few neighbours. Shops are in walking distance (small one: 5min away, bigger one: 10min away). The beaches in walking distance are not the nicest, but you can take the bus to Lumbarda or go island hopping by taxi boat - or simply stay at the pool. The town is a 15min-walk away. I can highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed there for 10 days and we had a great time exploring the island, playing table tennis and chilling at the pool. We are thinking about going there again next year!

There's even a small kitchen if you need to prepare your own food. It's quite small, and there are no common areas besides the small kitchen, but it's definitely cosy to stay for one or two nights while exploring the town and enjoying the beach. Korcula is also very small and easy to explore, and the hostel is right in the middle of Old Town.
