Super comfortable homestay in a quiet area of kumily. Breakfast is served on the terrace infront of the room and there are enough restaurants around. you can walk to the park entrance ask the hosts to take you, they are very friendly. The room is very average and just fine. no complaints.

Ben was so helpful and charming. The breakfast was delicious with the best appam I’ve tasted so far. It was easy to get to and from Kumily and Thekkady in a rickshaw. Excellent value for money

The way the host received us is excellent. The property is located in the middle of a spice farm which gives us a unique experience. They served a delicious Kerala style breakfast which my kids liked very much. Overall I would recommend this place for everyone who is visiting Thekkady. Enjoy traveling!

We booked this as it was close to the Periyar National Park. This was a lovely place to stay, with a really nice room and pool area. We also had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Staff were friendly.

The room was super cozy, comfy beds and a big balcony with a view of the garden. Staff was amazingly friendly. They have a big collection of international books which I loved. Drinking water is available. All in all incredible value for money. We were in fact sad to leave and looking forward to come back!

Elephant park is right along with the resort and kids and adults can very closely spend time elephants. Bathing and ride elephants was an excellent experience. We just stayed there for a night in their Heritage bungalow, and were left wanting for more. The banglow had 3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and was clean. There is no AC, but pedestal fans are provided and sufficient. The estate itself is beautiful and green. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Icing on the cake was that an elephant camp is attached to the resort and kids loved it. Would surely recommend and visit again

The setting was magical with spices growing all around and the sound of birds singing unique songs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - they even booked our morning trek in Periyar Tiger Reserve for us. The spa was incredible as well - very relaxing massages! We also loved the food and I even had a cooking demonstration from the head chef. We loved everything about Amritara Shalimar and will definitely come and stay again next time we're in Kerala!
