Beautiful new, small hotel near Marzamemi and many wineries of SE Sicily. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to visit again. Marzamemi is a quick 5 minute drive away, and Pacchino is about 10 minutes away (don't miss Caffe Ciclope in Pacchino). Marzamemi is a charming fishing village, but next time we would explore Pacchino and its restaurants more. We visited Barone Sergio winery just down the street (amazing!) and Feudo Maccari (also very good). We had a king room on the second floor of the hotel which had a terrace with a nice view of the Ionian Sea. Breakfast was included in our stay and the hotel has a nice peaceful bar that is open in the late afternoons for cocktails. We hope to return!

The drive from Catania airport to San Lorenzo was roughly an hour. The highway and roads are all in great condition. When we arrived, and the lovely Fabiana had handed over the keys and briefed us on the house, we were utterly impressed! Perfectly clean, modern and spacious! I had not told my wife, her friend who was staying with us for 3 nights, or my kid about the jacuzzi on the roof (good to keep a bonus surprise in your pocket) and that was one of our biggest highlights - Hot tubbing in the evenings. Every room has an en suite bathroom, so plenty or privacy and no problem if you are staying here with larger groups. The house is RIGHT at the beach...no other houses blocking the sea view. My daughter and I had a timed race: from the door, into the ocean in under one minute!

The house has everything that you need and the kitchen is well equipped. We stayed there with 3 adults and 2 kids, so we made use of all three bedrooms. We stayed in February, so the house was a bit cold, definitely would recommend to bring some slippers. However we could use the air condition to heat it up and then it was very cosy and comfortable. The rooms we had was a luxury one overlooking the pool and surrounding countryside, but the other rooms, not facing the pool, also had lovely country views. Breakfast is simple but good.
