The property was a self contained unit with the bed in an alcove behind the living area which was equipped with a small dining table, fridge and lounge.Romeo, the host had stocked the fridge with water, a bottle of rose wine and some Italian miniatures., I arrived by train from Lecce and the host picked me up at the train station and also dropped me off there when I left. The property was within walking distance from the old part of Polignano and an easy walk to the station for day trips to Alberobello, Ostuni etc.

The host was very welcoming. Breakfast was included so there was a really cute basket full of food that was left for us and also she left some local pastries for us to try which was so thoughtful. The room was super big and clean.

Masseria San Martino is embedded in the countryside, 15 minutes drive from Lama monachile. The few rooms are cool and nicely furnished. The chilometro zero breakfast is gorgeous. You can swim in the private pool first thing in the morning or any time during your stay. Tiziana is a very charming landlady and gave us perfect advices on where to go or have dinner.
