The house is big enough and my kids had wonderful time playing inside the house while I went to enjoy my hot spring. This is their favorite house during our trip in Japan. The owner was extremely nice and let us check in early

I enjoy thé very affluent culture level of this house. It is like living as a shogun but in modern day! The Japanese style guest room is attached to the Western fireplace room which makes it very accessible for heating purpose. The overall feeling is zen and peace. The sunroom captures the morning sun extremely well that even in the -9 morning, it was warm. It was perfect for a couple getaway.

Very clean, very comfortable, very cosy. We loved our stay here, surrounded by snow. The owner has thought of everything, and provided it for the guest. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

The location is perfect if you want to get on an early train ind the morning. The „capsules“ are cozy but quite roomy. The staff was very helpful and always cheery. We found everything we needed in the kitchen like salt and so on to make dinner. The onsen they recommended was great! 🤩

The location was very good (close to nearby attractions) and access to the onsen at the hotel across the road was definitely a huge plus. The hotel lobby was very nice and modern but the rooms are slightly dated (this wasn't too much of an issue, was kind of charming). Overall, it was a decent place to stay.

This property is the best in the nearby vicinity of Hell’s Valley in my opinion. Great location and accessibility to restaurants, Bear Park,Hell’s Valley, etc. We like the Japanese Room equipped with Warm cosy Futons Beds and Yukata for every guest. Service is great!

I quite liked the cottage, and it had a few heaters inside. As it was winter, the owner was kind enough to provide a slip of paper to encourage us to go to the hot springs around the place and even recommended a curry soup place. The beds were comfy, and we enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The only advantage is during the stay we can use the bath at Daiichi Takimotakan. However in winter, it is such a hassle to walk opposite the hotel and venture 5mins through the levels and walkway just to get to the bath. The cafe at the lobby was cosy for a nice coffee with toast and lamington cakes
