The view from the rooftop terrace was the best part for me. The rooms are decent and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and Mardin has the best Cay! Host was kind enough let us select our rooms. I was pleasantly surprised by the door key and iron bar securing the door from the inside. Takes one back to the past! He made sure that we have a spot on a bus from Mardin's airport, we were picked up by a member of staff, showed around, given all the necessary touristic advice and treated with delicious breakfasts. Beautiful, lovingly restored historical building full of beautiful details in every corner. The upper terrace boasts views across the plains of Mesopotamia and downstairs there is a cosy shaded courtyard in the lobby area. A really atmospheric and tranquil place for breakfast. We spent 4 nights here and would definitely return in a heartbeat. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very gentle, they helped us with the luggage all the way back to the car (parking is not close as the hotel is in an area which cannot be reached by car). The hotel has a very nice terrace where you can enjoy a view of the landscape, drinking tea or coffee. Definitely nice
