Situated in Colesberg, Crane Cottage features accommodation with seating area. Private parking is available on site. The guest house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests.

All units are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge, a kettle, a walk-in shower and a desk. Some rooms also boast a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven, a microwave and a toaster. At the guest house, units have bed linen and towels.

Once again Crane Cottages delivered. Awesome, clean room that was perfect to recover from a long drive. Perfect stop over - my second time at Crane Cottages and will do so again. Their check-in time was 6pm but I was delayed in Cape Town and only arrived at 8pm - this was no problem for Crane Cottages. Thank you for being such a gracious host.

This is an excellent place to stay for stopover on the long road from Cape Town to Gauteng. It is a beautiful old farm with a lot of history. The rooms are super spacious. The old manor house offers so much - from sitting on the stoep overlooking the dam to a cosy lounge with a massive fireplace. I wish we could stay an extra night.

Lodge was super clean, quiet and staff very friendly. The rooms were big, cozy and comfortable. Had everything one would need. Quality of TV and DSTV channels and free wifi put some hotels to shame.

This was our first stay at this lodge and we enjoyed seeing the river and chatting to the team about the history of the farm. The main gathering area with a fireplace, pub and dining was a highlight. Had dinner with a fellow traveler and enjoyed sharing travel experiences. The room was newly refurbished and we slept well with an electric blanket. They have plans to expand and improve facilities. There is game on the farm but we did not have time to explore and it was really cold.
