The country house offers an American or vegetarian breakfast. We loved everything about the property. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The mountains, the jungle, the impressive amount of beautiful birds, the milder temperature and everything about this place is just unbelievable; like a dream come true. The reserve has different cabanas located alongside the mountain side. They’re all quaint, unique and full of charm. Every single part of the location is well taken care of. The staff is hard working, kind and always ready to offer help with whatever is crossing your mind at the moment. We had certain issues regarding our room at first and they moved heaven and earth so we could be more comfortable and happy. Greys has always a smile on her face and was always there for us same as the rest of her team. Food was very good, breakfast was wholesome and delicious. Their menu is varied and with plenty of options, although we would’ve liked to have more local dishes. Can’t talk about food or kitchen without mentioning Carlitos, the guy is a genius, everything he made was well seasoned, yummy and plentiful. We can’t recommend him enough, if he’s cooking the day you’re there, you’re in for a treat. And last but not least, we loved all the extra activities you can do while in the reserve, there are cacao tours (super informative and yummy), coffee tours and several waterfalls in the vicinity. We were never bored although you could always stay on one of the multiple hammocks that there are throughout the property and relax listening to the the birds, looking at the stunning sunsets or just enjoying your favorite book.

The chalet has a hot tub and full-day security. This cabana in Taganga is really amazing. We had 6 nights here and enjoyed all of them. Taganga itself can be a bit hectic, therefore staying at Bareke Azul on the hillside was just wonderful - only 5 min from centre of Taganga but far enough to get some peace, quiet and wonderful views. Also, one of the owners Ramon is just a really great and friendly host. All in all, we had an amazing stay at Bareke Azul. It’s not a luxury hotel, but considering the price, it’s perfect.

Food and drinks where also amazing and lot’s of plans to do. Unfortunately we book a very short time for such paradise. Excellent value for money
