It was a perfect stay!
The house was so clean and full of useful amenities, everthing is new and comforting.
Both the inside and outside of the house had everything we needed.

Denis was a great and welcoming host and took care of anything and beyond.
Highly recommended!

Excellent location, close to the center and all major onsen. The view from our room was fantastic, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. I strongly recommend reaching out to the property and booking a dinner reservation. Dinner was absolutely incredible, some of the best Japanese food we've had. The lady who welcomed us was very polite and friendly, and she could speak very good English. The baths were also great with two different hot water sources and a sauna.
Exceptional & best onsen experience at the heritage onsen bath. All 3 public onsen are beautifully crafted in old wood and very well maintained with their original status. Having visited many onsen in Japan, their largest bath was truly something that I would never forget. It's also very nice that they have men/women/mix time schedule that balanced both tradition & modern needs.
Our room was spacious! And the hotel has that cozy atmosphere. And we loved our Onsen experience.
Very warmly welcoming and friendly personnel, attentive care, helpful service. Cosy, well-managed hot bath sections (two), which were easily available on-demand. Both of the baths are big enough for 2-3 persons. We had a spacious and well-equipped room suitable for three persons. Clean and very quiet. Comfy yukatas and thankfully one larger sized one for a bigger-size North European guy😀Fantastic breakfast, which was different every morning! A charming yakiniku restaurant nearby and importantly a 7-11 as well. Big thank you!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy pension. The woman and man who run the property are incredibly kind. We paid to have two dinners and one breakfast during our time, and all of our meals were delicious. The environment and scenery were peaceful and beautiful.
Wonderful stay at traditional, spacious and cozy room (worn out but charming) with river view. Beautiful hot indoor and outdoor baths (yes, they are hot near the water source and warm further from it - not cold). Free shuttle bus twice a day and in the morning. Dinner and breakfast were great, staff wonderful. The whole experience depends on a room and building you choose, we were in the main old building and had private separe for dinner and breakfast.
peaceful and rustic. nestled away from the bustling areas of Kusatsu center but close enough to leisure walk through the charming alleyways
The comfortable room, awesome bath, cosy hangout spaces, decent breakfast. What I love the most are the hosts - welcomed us warmly and being very friendly. The day we checked out, we were still allowed to wear hotel provided yukata and geta to stroll around and to leave our luggages there.
The cottages, the privacy, the outdoor onsen.
A nice hotel close to the train station, easy access to city, check-in possible in late hours, very convenient. Perfect for short stays. It's not the prettiest, but fair for the price! I had a bit of trouble founding the air conditioning, but it's certainly there! You need to open a cabinet-like thingy and find 2 switches (the method of turning it on is written on a notice on the wall so no problem there, just locating the switches was tricky).
