Offering river views, De La Rosa’s suites feature a seating area with a plush sofa, and a mini-bar. All guest rooms are air conditioned. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and boasts either a bath or a shower. Some bathrooms feature typical tiles on the walls. Beautiful setting! Clean, private room. Perfect mix of old and modern. Great on site restaurant.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, and bike hire is available at Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley. The farm stay also features outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. Quinta de Travassinhos is a magical place in the Douro Valley with beautiful views, outstanding ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Helena & Ricardo have painstakingly restored and renovated the property into something rare and special where modern amenities and comfort meet the beauty of a working farm and vineyard. Their kindness and attention to customer service is world class, and is matched by their knowledge of the history of the area and willingness to share the stories of their journey to create their dream. While my partner and I were there, we enjoyed morning hikes through the vineyards, daily trips to regional towns, afternoon dips in the indoor salt water spa pool, and evening dinners where our hosts and staff provided upscale-rustic regional cuisine, local wines and port, and wonderful conversation with both hosts and guests. This will be somewhere we will hopefully be able to revisit in the coming years as it truly is one of our favourites of all time!

All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hair dryer, units at the country house also boast free WiFi, while certain rooms are fitted with a balcony. At the country house, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.
