You can step out from your room and watch sunrise on a sofa. Short Uber drive to metro and local beaches or hiking trial of Pedra da Gàvea. Very convenient location if you're planning to paraglide from Sào Conrado. Monica and Antonio are the best hosts we have ever met. Super friendly and helpful jn every aspect. Modern infrastructure perfectly espouses the classic style of the mansion. The view from the rooms is quite nice, half of the PPC favela, half on the bay of Rio, and the view from the rooftop pool and terrace was even more breathtaking. Most discreet mansion house on a hill furnished with the best of Brazilian modern (1950s-1960s) furniture. Delightful pool area, just accept the occasional road noise to remind you are in a town (but where don't you in Rio?). But very quiet at night. It's a must for those with good taste/de bon gout.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the pool area and poolside bar were great and it felt luxurious and peaceful in the middle of Rio. My bedroom was huge (and a huge bed!) and there were so many layers to this hotel (spa, shop, bars etc) I didn't even have time to explore them all. I loved staying here.JennySolo traveller

Security was excellent and we felt safe at all times. The hostel was quiet and peaceful despite carnival being on outside. Good breakfast and chilled common area.
