The hotel was so clean and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We visited in March and our room was always warm and cosy, massive rooms with comfy beds and clean soft linen. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. High quality produce. It was only a 10 minute drive from Bodmin town centre so it was really easy to find. Quiet and peaceful location.

This is a beautiful and surprisingly peaceful hotel, so quiet, we slept so well. The dinner was amazing although we were told it was the last night that the Chapel restaurant would be open for dinner foe while. This is a shame as the food was wonderful.

Located at a service area on the busy main A30 Cornwall trunk road. Regardless of this it was very quiet and peacefull. It is not located at the most picturesque part of the county however this doesn't matter if you need a good central base to explore Cornwall from

Owletts is in a great location, so quiet and peaceful but easy to get to most places within Cornwall. The garden is absolutely beautiful and our room was so comfortable with lovely garden views, especially from the seats on the balcony. Ron and Julie are great hosts, providing very handy local advice and travelling tips. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful, and included lovely fresh fruit, cereals and juice as well as full English.

Trewardale is set in beautiful, peaceful countryside, surrounded by its own land with beautiful trees. We were welcomed by Lucy, and also four friendly dogs. The family has lived in Trewardale for (I think) 300 years, and the downstairs rooms are filled with interesting memorabilia. There is an outdoor swimming pool. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and helpful.

Very quiet and comfortable. Luxurious, even. Delicious food in the bistrot and breakfast room. Cozy bar. Extraordinary to wake up in the lap of luxury with underfloor heating in the bathroom, and then consider the lives of the inmates who were banged up here for years on end. My bedroom was constructed from three of the original cells.
