Great location and Jackie was a lovely host. Our room was upgraded and it felt very luxurious. The spa bath was excellent and we enjoyed using the sauna. It was incredibly clean and was very quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was very nice also!

Lovely 2nd floor apartment with stunning views. Very comfortable and clean, very peaceful and quiet. We would highly recommend. However, if you have anyone with you with mobility issues please note that the lift was out of service.

The room was excellent, overlooking open countryside to the front. We dined in both nights and the menu was restaurant quality. I can recommend the duck breast. A good selection of wines too; with choice made simply at the bar, which I actually prefer to having a formal wine list. All the staff were outstanding, friendly and efficient. The Derby Arms is easy to reach from the direction of the M6 motorway, but is also in a very quiet location, away from the usual Lake District crowds. We plan to return next year.

A really lovely peaceful cottage in a quiet location. The welcome gift of milk, tea and biscuits from Andrew was much appreciated. We liked the beautiful beds and the exposed walls and fireplaces and there was everything that we needed for our stay. We would definitely like to return to this lovely 19th century cottage.

The cottage is very nice and cosy, perfect for a holiday in a countryside. The village is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for a person from a big city to relax. The cottage was very clean, everything needed was at a presence. Special thanks to Andrew, the owner, who was extremely nice and helpful.
