Florentine steak to die for. Katia and her team make you feel welcome. It was like a family reunion dinner. One thing though. If she says steak size enough for you, believe me you will want a bigger one even though you are fully stuffed.

It was a perfect stay at the heart of Tuscany/Chianti; historic and rustic but comfortable; really quiet and beautiful surroundings. Anna is a very lovely host, she was most helpful with everything. The stay can be combined with the winery visit to Fattoria Casa Sola that was also very interesting. Highly recommended. Also visit the Michelin-guide restaurant La Toppa in the nearby village San Donato in Poggio.

Our rooms - two bedrooms and two bathrooms both spotlessly clean, and a kitchen, also immaculate - were on the ground floor with a terrace, shared with the rooms next door, looking out over the vineyards. Very quiet but only a few minutes drive from the local town. The manager, Violetta, is charming and very helpful.
