Everything what is needed was there. Comfortable bed, hot water, calm place. Perfect terrace with a view to the valley. Excellent breakfast. The staff was carrying.

The property grounds were amazing with full of orange and olive trees. From the property, we took the old Roman stone trail leading to the medieval town. Ingrid, the housekeeper, not only provided us with GF bread, but baked us a delicious GF cake with the oranges from the garden. Her husband beautifully maintains the garden with nice decorative touches. They were both very welcoming and accommodating.

Everything was so clean and very traditional chic. Loved the way they took a ruin and incorporated into a lodge. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel once it’s warmer to use the pool.

Quinta da Pedra Grande is a very peaceful setting, well maintained and the courtyard has a little seated area and table to sit at and enjoy the outdoors. The continental breakfast was exactly to my taste and presented well. Our host looked after us very well and provided extra pillows on request.

Large, quiet, and very clean rooms within a beautiful typical stone Portuguese house allow for a good night's sleep, and the large pergola is simply perfect to enjoy a lovely breakfast that might include fresh homemade bread, with pear or fig jams, and veggies picked that morning from the garden.

Right in the heart of Monsanto and walking distance to everything you need to see including hiking trails. Amazing fireplace and we loved the ancient boulder inside the house that it is built around. We cannot say enough lovely things about the hosts. They were very accommodating; by helping us with anything we needed, housekeeping services, and bringing delicious food for us.
