Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport is 40 km away. Everything is great at Whispering Mountains - hospitality, great location to the park, fluent communication in English, great service and catering... I myself am native Chinese from Hunan living in the Netherlands; this time I traveled together with my native Dutch partner who doesn't speak a word of Chinese, and he can communicate without worries with staff at Whispering Mountains. On another note, I don't think much communication is needed. Lucas and his colleagues proactively arrange pick-up, walking routes in the park that perfectly dodged the crowds, breakfast and dinner... I honestly didn't expect such high level of service which matches luxury hotels in Europe in a small part of China. Even in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province, you wouldn't be able to find sth this level. I would recommend anyone who come to Zhangjiajie taking this hotel.

All units are fitted with air conditioning, a fridge, a minibar, a kettle, a bath, slippers and a desk. Featuring a private bathroom with a hot tub and bathrobes, units at the country house also boast free WiFi, while certain rooms have a terrace. At the country house, every unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. We had have been this hotel for 7 nights. While we were in hotel and travelled forest park or other scenic spots, every staffs supported us in many cases. First of all, when we stay in this hotel we can contact to housekeeper in charge of picking up at airport, booking tickets for park entrance and ordering breakfast and supper at any time by WECHAT. If you are not familiar to Chinese letter and language, you can ask the housekeeper to book tickets or talk to taxi driver instead of you by WECHAT in English. Every staffs are kind and supportive even though they pay taxi fare instead of me when my Alipay got stuck. This hotel is near the "southeast gate" of forest park. You can walk through southeast gate in 5 minutes and take a shuttle bus to "水绕四门" from which you can go any scenic spot by transferring other shuttle bus. If you would like to go trekking to Jinbian Stream, this hotel is in the best location.

Situated in the centre of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tongfu inn (In the National Forest) is a 3-minute walk from Yangjiajie Cable Car Station and 1.2 km away from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park West Gate. Free tour consultancy, ticketing service and car rentals are offered at the tour desk. The property invites guests to watch sunrise when the weather is ideal. The host is very helpful and helped us plan our days in national park.
