The most amazing place to stay, sad to leave. All staff went out of way to assist, fruit, tea, beautiful breakfasts, chats, excellent travel booking with super friendly English speaking Joye. He booked us a one day trip to Shangri-la with Tibetan guide. 3 Alaskan mamlute padding quietly around. Can't recommend this place enough. It was the highlight of our trip.

Good value for money. This guesthouse is really a hidden gem, it's in a quiet lane of the old town. What makes me love gegewu is the support provided by the little staff. She helped book trips and was always available to provide any needed help.. One night when I came back she brought me a cake. in addition, it really warmed my heart. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated in a traditional style. I highly recommend this guest house.

Owner was very friendly and approachable. Responds to requests and goes out of his way to help whenever possible. Location was pretty good as well, as it is within walking distance to the old town. Due to above reason, this place is a good place to crash after a long day, as it is relatively quiet for you to recharge for the next day.

Nice and modern designed hostel Comfy beds Hostel provided free transport to airport (we had an early morning flight hence stayed at this place) Food was nice in a nearby restaurant (2min walk) from hostel. Games and table tennis was available for group bonding - would be better if there is more variety, better kept and cleaned and free ktv available to encourage longer stays for groups who are keen to be away from the city and experience the village kind of quiet lives. Sprawling and peaceful compound. My son loved the little animals in the hotel. Beautiful view of the mountain.

A peaceful oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. very quiet with comfortable bed and pillows. Ice cold beers and airport/train station transfers were a nice touch.

The host was super friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Amazing views of Cangshan mountain from the window, and the spa bath was an incredible luxury! It was quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.
