The pool was lovely and the hiking trails behind the property. Beautiful peaceful safe feeling place for the whole family.

Check in staff were very friendly. The pool area was quiet and beautiful to sit around and read. Beds were comfortable. Good Sized Bathroom with very nice shower. The air conditioning unit made a peaceful white noise sound that blocked any outside noises quite well. We were very happy with our one night stay.

The cottage is very cosy with everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is really peaceful at the end of the road with amazing views and lots of birds in the garden. This really is the perfect place for those looking for peace and quiet in nature. The host helps you with plenty of suggestions what to do. Upon arrival we were so charmed by the cottage and the nearby surroundings that we decided to stay longer than planned.

Very luxurious hostel in a quiet neighbourhood that feels pretty safe. Nice beds with curtains and very nice shower with shampoo and everything. The restaurant is good, but expensive.

The hotel is quite large, with a good restaurant and friendly staff. The location is ideal for bird watching in Los Quetzales National Park. The room in a double bungalow was very clean and well furnished, the balcony overlooking the pond was very nice. To get acclimated there are a few hiking trails that start right at the hotel, the pristine scenery is breathtaking. Not to be underestimated is the cool climate due to the altitude of San Gerardo (over 2000 m), in March at night 8-12 ° C and during the day for hiking very pleasant 15-20 ° C.

The hotel is hidden in a quiet alley, very cozy and comfortable. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for me as it was easy to walk to tourist sites (It would take some time to walk but walkable), yet still tucked away in a peaceful area. Overall, the quality of the hotel was far exceeding its price! I was thoroughly impressed with the level of comfort and service provided, especially for the affordable rate.

Really lovely apartments in a great location. Close enough to the city centre to walk in but far enough out of the centre that it was quiet and peaceful. Also, lovely park nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds. Was lovely relaxing by the pool watching the various birds after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was great, fresh and tasty food and lots of it. Would highly recommend.

The hostel was surpringly quiet given how central it is and felt like a safe place to stay for one night in San Jose. The room didn't have windows but this was perfect for us as we had a good night of uninterrupted sleep before our flight the next day. The decor was lovely and felt quite luxurious. Nice hot shower and fresh clean towels and bedding. Comfy bed. The breakfast eating area was lovely.

Beautiful rooms, very comfortable beds and a peaceful courtyard with pool and jacuzzi.  The owner and the staff are very friendly and extraordinarily helpful if you need any help or insider tipps. This is a gem in the center of San Jose and it's pretty quiet for a city Hotel. It's just well run and organized. We've stayed here a couple of times and we will be back.
