Both host and hostess are delightful people and did everything to make our stay memorable. Fantastic food, with a lovely dinner and superb smoked salmon for brekky. The best! This is a unique setting, quite beautiful! We were sad to say farewell after only 1 night.

Guests at the villa will be able to enjoy activities in and around Thornhill, like hiking. The villa complex has a barbecue, outdoor fireplace and sun terrace. The Lodge is simply put a perfect place. It is as good as in the pictures and better. The kitchen has just about every equipment that you can think of. The two living rooms are nice and spacious and the bedrooms are very comfortable. Also the entire Lay-out is smart because the bedrooms are located well away from the living rooms so everyone gets a good night sleep. At night it is absolutely quiet due to the beautiful location in a forest. The outdoor hot tub is just brillant to recover from a hike in the nearby Loch Lomund National Park or to gaze at some stars at night. If you enjoy baking pizza the oven gives you the chance to a achieve restaurant quality results. The hosts Claire and Alick are super friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have absolutely everything you need during your stay. They gave us a super warm welcome, provided us with tons of firewood at no extra cost and helped us with any question we had. Our group would 100% recommend this place and also thinks it is crazy good value for the price!

Set in secluded 20-acre grounds, the Roman Camp Country House Hotel is set on the banks of River Teith in scenic Callander Village. It offers luxurious rooms, private fishing pools and an award-winning restaurant, 15 miles from Stirling. Lovely peaceful setting on gorgeous grounds with walking paths along a river and huge walled gardens. The staff was welcoming and the inn was unreal with cozy rooms, a fireplace and lovely rooms. Excellent 4 course dinner with service that was beyond our expectations. We also met several returning guests. One of our favorite stays ever!
