The rooms with the view directly on the lake are exceptional, so is the host family. We had such a great time. Manuel and his girlfriend helped us to get to the island and I never met a more friendly family. They helped us with the altitude sickness by providing coca tea at our arrival and showed us the neighbor islands on a personal boat trip. The breakfast was amazing and prepared with a lot of heart. At night it can get pretty cold, but the shower is hot. Would totally recommend for people who want to experience the life of the Uros.

Situated in Huillanopampa in the Taquile Island region, Taquile Sumaq Wasi - Casa de Felipe e Ines features a garden. The property has lake views. I'm genuinely happy to have spent some time at Ines and Felipe's. Everyone is super kind and we had the luck of being there while the family cooked for other community members and hosted a session of Easter chants, to which we have been allowed to take part. We booked directly with Ronal our host of the lodge, our overnight stay and live a very different experience was beautiful, good location rooms overlooking the lake, and we learned a lot about their Ayamara culture and we went fishing and learned how to weave their crafts and much more , 100% recommended

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Very hospitable and kind family! It was interesting for us to observe the life of the local people. Very tasty food (besides breakfast there was an opportunity for lunch and dinner). It is very calm around, no city fuss, we really rested our souls. Picturesque places nearby. It was possible to negotiate with the owner about the boat to the islands Amantani/Takile. And the alpaca lives here too!

The food was delicious and the views were spectacular. We were also very impressed by Llachon, a peaceful change of pace compared to Juliaca and Puno.

This is probably one of my favorite hotels I have ever been to. The staff is always here to help and are very professional and well trained. The hotel and amenities are really beautiful and the location could not be better as the hotel is right on lake titicaca facing isla taquile. The food was good and all the little additional attentions were appreciated (5pm service with delicious cocktails or wines to be enjoyed near a brasero outside or inside, after dinner tea service, welcome drinks…they were too many to list !)
