Maesmawr Hall is situated in the beautiful Severn Valley, 8 km from the market town of Newtown and 1.6 km from the village of Caersws.

The beautiful period house is privately owned and personally supervised by the resident proprietors. The hall was built in 1535 and is Grade II listed and still retains many original features.

The heart breakingly beautiful location (I'm Australian 😏) and the gorgeous grandness of it all with no hint of pompous-ness! Wonderfully friendly staff and a chef that appreciates what medium rare is! By far my most memorable overnight stay in Spain, England or Wales this trip .. will definitely be back and recommending in the meantime!

The breakfast was gorgeous. Staff always willing to help in anyway. It was very warm over the weekend & we were provided with a fan in our room, without asking. Lovely personal touches.

Helen and Tim are great hosts. The vicarage is just up the road from Newtown and a nice pub nearby. The grounds were great and the rooms immaculate and finished really nice and with very comfortable beds. Wifi is good and there are smart tv`s in the rooms. There is charging for electric cars. The breakfast was amazing with lots of locally sourced different options. Stunning scenery all around. Our family group loved it and we will be looking forward to staying there again. thanks for a lovely stay.

We were in Newtown visiting relatives as a family of 4 adults. The location of the townhouse is a nice 3 minute stroll from the centre. The accommodation is over 3 floors and is lovely, clean, warm and comfortable. The host Joe was always available for any queries and was polite and helpful. All in all we had a lovely stay and the accommodation is outstanding value.

This property was perfect for the price and location. The owners were lovely, kind and accommodating by being flexible with where I could leave my car after and before my stay and were amazing throughout. The room was massive with an extremely comfy bed and then to top it all of, I had the most amazing full english in the morning which left me full all day. This guest house is snug, homely and uniquely decorated to make for a very enjoyable stay. I will 100% be using them again every time I come to Newtown.

I held my 60th birthday party at the hotel. The party was amazing as were the staff. Brilliant experience enjoyed by all of us. The food was gorgeous and the event room was perfect. We stayed in the Gregynog suite which was lovely. All my guests were very impressed with the facilities and service. The team even ordered in my favourite wine. Huge thank you.

The cottage was beautifully designed, had a ton of character and was really clean and comfortable. The views were stunning and the hot tub was a great addition to relax in at the end of a days walk. There were so many amenities it was like being at home but in a gorgeous house in a fabulous location. Genuinely could not fault it and would absolutely go back.

We stayed in room number 1 and it was absolutely stunning! The attention to detail and the quality decor was superb. It was more like a luxury hotel room rather than what you'd expect for a B&B. Ensuite was huge and it was spotlessly clean throughout. The welcome gifts in the room for when we arrived was a lovely surprise. The owner was very helpful and you can tell she takes great pride in her B&B. Will definitely stay again in the future!

The location was in a beautiful green part of the country, and parking was provided on-site. The communication from hosts was also very good. The bed was comfortable, the room well-sized, and the interior design was pretty. Breakfast was delicious.
