Hotel Colessio’s exterior has been sympathetically restored to its former glory. Each bedroom and suite is light, spacious and furnished with high quality beds and down pillows and duvets. Rooms boast a flat-screen TV and iPod dock, whilst the Philippe Starck bathrooms have luxury amenities from the White Company.

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. Having read the (mostly negative) reviews on this website, it was a really pleasant surprise to discover our large and renovated room with a view towards the mountains over Stirling in a superb listed building. The best property we stayed in during our trip in Scotland and remarkably cheap for a 4* hotel.

Old an awesome. You can feel the history, and the rooms haven't aged one bit. Couldn't find the sorting hat though

In terms of value for money, Lost Guest House Stirling met my expectations. The room rates were affordable, especially considering the prime location. While the facilities may not be luxurious, they were sufficient for my needs as a budget-conscious traveler. The complimentary Wi-Fi was a nice bonus, although it could be a bit slow at times. Parking was provided in front of the guest house as well, although finding the area might be a bit tricky especially at night.

An old building with lots of character with stylish modern features in place. Nice and welcoming. Dining room was old style, stylishly decorated, dark wood etc with lovely interesting wall decor. Our room as beautiful, absolutely gorgeous and massive, the bathroom lovely too and a lovely hot bath at night. No complaints at all. Breakfast was grand too, cereals etc and cooked buffet. Staff were lovely too.

The rooms are decorated by a professional interior designer, amazing and still very cosy. The bathrooms are deluxe. And the decor around the whole property is wow. The bar/ restaurant was fab - great food and drinks. More like a big, cosy dinning room. And the people are wonderful.

The location is very accessible for non-drivers arriving from Glasgow areas. The home is extremely thought out in terms of facilities, design, and comfort. Although remote at the time the hosts were fast to respond to any questions throughout our stay. The photos do not do the home justice. A must stay for anyone visiting Stirling.

A place with tradition and history, and very helpful staff. It's good to see an affordable manor type/ town centre hotel still within the value and family price bracket, and offering a stylish alternative to the budget hotel chains. The restaurant was very pleasant, and breakfast functional, friendly and ample.
