My son and I arrived past check in time and they graciously waited for us to arrive to give us the key. The rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious.

It’s in a remote location which adds to the charm but it’s a drive to the nearest shops or restaurants. I ate before I arrived because I was unsure what food was available but there is a small menu that would have been sufficient for me. The breakfast provided was lovely. As many other reviews have mentioned, Bernat, the manager is wonderful. He really looks after his guests and he provides generouse, attentive and friendly service and brilliant information.

The views were beautiful, the cabin was cosy and well designed. The beds were comfortable and the veranda was gorgeous! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, we were celebrating a 40th birthday, they put up fairy lights and balloons, they put cakes in the fridge for us! It was amazing! The breakfast was so delicious, such a homely place to dine and it was all cooked fresh for us. I wish we could have stayed longer. You MUST do the horse riding!!

To use its corridors intelligently, they built it in glass, and it’s a lovely place to sit, relax, and wait for the Northern lights. There was lovely views out each window, and it was set in a very peaceful location. The cottage was well equipped and the kitchen area was a good size. Will be recommending this cabin to my Australian friends.

Staff was great and food in the hotel was lovely traditional Icelandic fair. The breakfast included was really good too. Probably one of the best we had over the two weeks we travelled around Iceland. Really recommend and will stay again if in the area.
