The staff member who helped us to check in was superb. He asked us about dinner and our plans for the evening and kindly offered to serve us dinner much earlier than we booked. He was then courteous and checked in when handing us menus to ensure we had enough time for us plans later in the evening. It was also very lovely to have some complementary drinks on arrival

The terrace overlooks a quayside and some of the other lovely old buildings in this picture postcard fortified town on one of the main waterways. Breakfast was excellent. We didn't have dinner but the menu looked very tempting with a focus on fresh fish and seafood.

The staff were attentive and the evening meal - served in the lovely rear garden - was beautifully prepared and good value for money.
