The whimsical decorating in the hotel matches the general atmosphere of New Plymouth. The location is conveniently located in the city center with plenty of dining options nearby. This also serves as a nice base for exploring the Egmont National Park and other nearby beaches. Luke was incredibly knowledgeable and was happy to assist with my questions, The hotel has free private parking nearby. Keep in mind that all rooms are located on the second floor and the hotel does not have elevators. This was well-advertised on the booking, but it deserves emphasizing.

Cassie and Shaun are so welcoming such lovely people. The amenities are excellent, luxury linens and toiletries, extra touches such as chocolates and biscuits. We enjoyed the retro record player and art works as much as the stunning beach front views. Such a stunning property so well considered I can see why this property is so poplar. A very peaceful location - all you can hear are the birds and the stream that runs through the property. With no light pollution, there's an incredible view of the Milky Way at night. Gorgeous cabin, clean, warm and cosy. Our lovely hosts left breakfast, wine and chocolates.

Lovely to have a wee note welcoming me back with a chocolate - unexpected , then topped it with a Christmas note and chocolate on Christmas day.
