The place, managed by the once Dutch couple, gave us immediately an homely feeling while we admire the attention to details in the house and fabulous garden. The farm atmosphere is all over with a classical and romantic vibes. We loved the place.

The property was very charming, we loved our stay there and was sad to leave. a few days before our arrival, staff called us to confirm check in time. We made a mistake - booked the space a day earlier than our actual arrival time, they waited for us and called to make sure we were alright. When they learned we made a mistake, they switched the date for us without any questions at all. The property was an old governor's summer house, with 2 swimming pools, olive tree grove, old country rose, an old world well, lots of old charm. Plenty of parking. We were treated with amazing breakfast - the dining room has a wood burning fireplace and it was so cozy with the fire! Nespresso machine. the embroidered bed linen was ironed; towels were perfumed. We went with the staff's recommendation for the restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. we had a very memorable time in town even it was very short. Highly recommend Casa do Governador!

Everything. The entire boutique hotel is very tastefully decorated in a modern style yet it still feels like it has many local design elements. The palace is just across the street as is the rest of the walled city of Evora. Parking is available right in front of the hotel. The restaurant was AMAZING. Get the local "black pork". I'm not normally a pork fan, but we ordered it at the suggestion of the waitress and it was perhaps the best pork I've ever eaten. The 4th floor Avista Bar is a very elegant yet relaxing bar with great views of the city. Breakfast is also in the bar and was incredible and included in the cost of the room. The 5th floor has a gorgeous endless pool. It's not heated, but I watched a beautiful sunrise on a chilly Christmas Eve morning from the deck.

Fabulous location with car parking. Rooms were spacious & spotlessly clean. Lovely external courtyard area. Very helpful & friendly staff.

The property was perfectly located and had parking. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The food excellent the best shrimp and rice I have ever had. The pool area was clean and many loungers. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful property.
