In short, everything. The staff are all very kind and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great--peaceful and quiet, save for the obnoxious snorkel tour boats that tie up off the beach and blare extremely loud music for no reason, which is no fault of the property.

The beach was quiet and lovely and the property felt safe and welcoming. The location felt authentic and all the staff were very friendly, attentive and kind. I felt like I was part of a nice community. The breakfast was very very good and the food at the hotel restaurant was incredible. Best curries and som tam I've had in Thailand hands down!!! There are some stray animals walking around the beach area (dogs and kittens) so if you don't like animals you might not like that.

The staff were amazing and made it really welcoming, we ended up extending our stay an extra 2 nights. The rooms were great and the pool was lush! Perfect location for venturing around the island. Wish the pool bar was open but it didn't affect the stay at all. For the price it's well worth it.
