In short, everything. The staff are all very kind and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great--peaceful and quiet, save for the obnoxious snorkel tour boats that tie up off the beach and blare extremely loud music for no reason, which is no fault of the property.

The beach was quiet and lovely and the property felt safe and welcoming. The location felt authentic and all the staff were very friendly, attentive and kind. I felt like I was part of a nice community. The breakfast was very very good and the food at the hotel restaurant was incredible. Best curries and som tam I've had in Thailand hands down!!! There are some stray animals walking around the beach area (dogs and kittens) so if you don't like animals you might not like that.

The staff were amazing and made it really welcoming, we ended up extending our stay an extra 2 nights. The rooms were great and the pool was lush! Perfect location for venturing around the island. Wish the pool bar was open but it didn't affect the stay at all. For the price it's well worth it.

Great set up right on the beautiful beach with easy access. We stayed with my mom who has dementia and the staff was so good to her. The food here was fantastic and they had the best beach hang spot and fire show. Definitely will stay here again!

Bathrooms are exceptional with so many ,lovely details. The beds were comfy and the rooms were tastefully decorated. The balconies were gorgeous with lovely trees giving lots of shade. we stayed a row back from the beach but this was actually way more private. We will be back. Breakfast was a buffet style and really varied and healthy. The Reef bar was great and had such a good menu with thai/ western options at a good price point.

But great for a short stay as the location is excellent. It is a very small boutique hotel. I felt very well. 3 nights on the small island of Koh Samet are enough to see everything. Beaches are very beautiful, the water is crystal clear, the sand is snow white and Ao Wai Beach, located a little south, can be reached in 15 minutes by scooter, in my opinion it can compete with the best beaches in Thailand and I've been almost everywhere
