Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. There is a main deck with a splash pool, a bar, and a barbecue.

We had a truly amazing stay at the Riverside Guest Lodge during our two-week vacation in South Africa! Albert and Elza are innkeepers that take great pride in the property and in what they do. This shows through 1000% in the experience guests receive when they book a stay. Prior to check-in, you receive information such as directions to the property, road conditions, and any diversion / closure warnings that are a huge help to the international traveller. The property itself is beautiful and well-placed, settled close to the main thoroughfare and up against a quaint little river. I really enjoyed lounging on the deck by the small pool and grabbing a couple of drinks from the well-stocked bar. The dining room was also very charming, even though we did not have time to enjoy breakfast. The guest room itself was also supremely comfortable and clean - a perfect resting place after a long day's drive and adventuring. Little touches like the bottle of water and chocolates, the honesty-system at the bar, and even the welcome 'tour' we got from Albert really made this place feel so welcoming and homely. Finally, the fact that they have solar panels setup means you barely, if ever, feel the effects of loadshedding -- a very very welcome benefit! Check-out was smooth and went off without a hitch. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was staff on hand that would give the cars a wash-down which we sorely needed after a few days of driving on gravel roads. I certainly would recommend this place to anyone visiting or passing through Oudtshoorn.

Situated on the main road, on the fringe of Oudtshoorn, this 4-star Victorian guest house is set in a large exotic garden. Hlangana Lodge is within walking distance of many restaurants within Oudtshoorn.

Nice lodge with a view on the grass and on the pool which we could not try since it was winter. Breakfast very good. Boys enjoyed the gym too.

Firstly when you are greeted at the gate you see the stunning property and pool but the best part is the two wee Springboks. Parking was easy and the reception main area so open and bright, easy check in a great staff who are very welcoming and informative. Room was stunning and so very comfortable. 5 stars

This is old school charm at its best. Throw in incredible views, ostrich’s and divine staff. Pool is so lovely. Gardens gorgeous. Food delicious. Didn’t use spa as no time but would have loved to have done. Our room was magical. Bathroom sensational.

Excellent location, loved the fact that there's a lovely and affordable farmstall on the premises that offers a lovely variety of all kinds of things. The breakfast was excellent! It's peaceful and waking up to tigers and lions and things roaring was a lovely bonus. We genuinely had an awesome time at Cango's Rest.

This was my second time here. I love the place. Good space and facilities for the kids, breakfast was excellent. Previously we chose the luxury tent in front of the river, this time we chose on the mountain. Lovely feel! Secluded and private. Will definitely return but would prefer the river front tents or would try the family units.

Very comfortable accommodation with beautiful interior design and quite spacious. The lighting throughout was good, especially in the kitchen. The fireplace was amazing and kept us warm during the very cold Oudtshoorn weather. The bathroom is very spacious with a lovely bath and a cute separate toilet. Blanka, the sheep dog, visited frequently, making herself at home from the moment we arrived. A gas stove is available during loadshedding.
