Quite possibly the best small luxury hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s the tiny details that count. Car washed without asking. Hot water bottle put into bed while you are having dinner. Small little treats randomly appearing in your room. All of this is along side extraordinary breakfasts and fantastic food in the restaurant. The service from the table and bar staff was also lovely and friendly. The rooms are huge, and beautifully appointed. The old world ambience and gorgeous gardens cap it off.
Gorgeous cottage with breath taking views. There was everything you could wish for inside: excellent linen, aircon, heaters, fireplace with wood (it was very cold when we went), battery lights for loadshedding etc. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the picnic breakfast was lovely! We went for a stunning hike on the property too.
Wonderful spot, with beautiful views and lovely walks from the door. Would be even more stunning in the summer time when the pool could be enjoyed. Had an absolutely gorgeous 24 hours in Robertson, not long enough to do it justice. Beautiful walks from the door - although word of warning, our dog came away full of ticks. Hostess was incredibly helpful and accommodating, setting up an extra bed for us. The real highlight was the fabulous breakfast basket - very much worth treating yourselves to this. What a treat!
We had the house to ourselves and it was amazing. The design is stunning and the bathroom is a dream! It's really luxurious whilst still feeling homey. We loved our stay.
Moreen was such a wonderful person to welcome us and make us feel at home. She’s made the stay a 10! It was clean and close to everything we needed. Worked really well for two families. The splash pool was great for warm days. We loved the connecting stoep between the two units. Amazing artwork and great design. Lovely detail in the garden too.
What a stunning and luxury place. It's 'beyond vergelegen' i.e. really at the end of the road in a very quiet corner. The cottage was furnished and designed with luxury and high-quality furnishing. Swimming/paddling the river, exploring the olive groves and possibly hiking the nearby mountains (no trails!) are fabulous possible excursions
