Surrounded by vineyards, this 4-star hotel is just a 5-minute drive from Göttweig Abbey and 10 minutes from the centre of Krems. The spacious, individually furnished rooms all have air conditioning and overlook the abbey and the surrounding vineyards. The room is large and comfortable. The most amazing feature is its restaurant. The meal we had there is simply the best during our three-week trips around four countries. You also need to try the wine from their own vineyard. People from Vienna come here often just for a meal. Excellent!

Located in the pedestrian zone in the Old Town of Melk,at the foot of Melk Abbey, the historic Rathauskeller features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. It offers free WiFi in all areas subject to availability. We enjoyed the accomodation, but what we liked the most was the restaurant. We met a waiter who entertained us and explained the dishes and seasonal ingredients used. The food quality was top notch, extremely tasty. I would go back to Melk just for this restaurant and I am not exaggerating. The staff overall was nice and accomodating.

A traditional Viennese-style café in a 16th-century building in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Melk, Madar Café Restaurant zum Fürsten is only 500 metres from Melk Abbey. Free high-speed WiFi and free private parking are available. Clean rooms, friendly and attentive staff, the included breakfast was nice and tasty. We also ate our dinners there in the evening. The food was to our liking and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended!

Ideally situated in the heart of the city of Krems, at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, the family-run Hotel Unter den Linden is just a few minutes’ walk away from many of the local attractions. I visited the hotel for second time. Great location close to center and all. Classic and trendy at same time! Good breakfast, parking in front. Recommend!
