Built in 1574 as a shipmaster’s house, Renaissancehotel Raffelsberger Hof B&B is a protected building in the historic village centre of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau. It offers rooms with free WiFi, free parking, and a varied breakfast buffet. Amazing hotel, so far the best accomodation on our cycling trip. It's very relaxing, clean, misterious and cosy. The breakfast was delicious. Really didn't want to leave.

Surrounded by vineyards, this 4-star hotel is just a 5-minute drive from Göttweig Abbey and 10 minutes from the centre of Krems. The spacious, individually furnished rooms all have air conditioning and overlook the abbey and the surrounding vineyards. The room is large and comfortable. The most amazing feature is its restaurant. The meal we had there is simply the best during our three-week trips around four countries. You also need to try the wine from their own vineyard. People from Vienna come here often just for a meal. Excellent!

Located in a renovated 19th-century building in the centre of Krems, this spacious studio offers free Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the garden. It is right next to a cultural exhibition space. Beautiful ginormous apartment with 12ft ceilings. The host Heidi was very helpful in suggesting (and booking) restaurants and taxi. Exceptional breakfast. Great location, a few minutes' walk from the pedestrian old town and less than 10 minutes from the train station.

Located in the pedestrian zone in the Old Town of Melk,at the foot of Melk Abbey, the historic Rathauskeller features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. It offers free WiFi in all areas subject to availability. great place, very nice restaurant.

Rooms feature TV with cable channels, a telephone, desk and a bathroom with a bathtub or a shower, a hairdryer and a toilet. All rooms offer a view over the old city of Melk, and some feature a private balcony. The room was very comfortable, we enjoyed the balcony very much and the breakfast was great.

A traditional Viennese-style café in a 16th-century building in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Melk, Madar Café Restaurant zum Fürsten is only 500 metres from Melk Abbey. Free high-speed WiFi and free private parking are available. Clean rooms, friendly and attentive staff, the included breakfast was nice and tasty. We also ate our dinners there in the evening. The food was to our liking and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended!

Ideally situated in the heart of the city of Krems, at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, the family-run Hotel Unter den Linden is just a few minutes’ walk away from many of the local attractions. Room was clean , staff was very nice, breakfast were excellent.
