The thing that makes it special is the food though. I ate some delicious beef there. If you stay here, you must also eat in the restaurant.

This hotel is located in the historic town of Melnik, next to Melnik Museum. The Despot Slav Hotel offers a unique stone and wooden interior design as well as traditional Bulgarian cuisine. The staff was extremely friendly, nothing was a problem, they were all very helpful and kind. There’s a restaurant right in the facility’s with tasty and reasonably priced food (the prices were by far the lowest in the city comparing to the other bigger restaurants). Our room was spacious and clean.

The room was spacious and clean, and the style was really fitting the surroundings. We only had breakfast at the restaurant which was prepared right before us and was delicious and plentiful. The staff was helpful and responsive.

We were offered a free room upgrade which we enjoyed. The apartment was spacious and clean with a big balcony. The food in the restaurant is always great. The parking garage is a big plus. It's our third stay in the hotel and we will visit again :)
