Fantastic place with caring and extremely attentive staff. Lovely pool, very comfy beds and nice breakfasts in a lovely patio area. So nice to see hosts and staff taking such great pride in the venue and the hospitality. Highly recommended.

Hotel Campanario is located in front of the beach, on Avenida del Mar, right in the limit of Coquimbo and La Serena. It offers 35 pleasant and recently built rooms with free WiFi access. Good location right across the street from the seahorse. Next to some nice local restaurants. Breakfast was really good. The staff it’s really nice. That’s the best part.

Hostal Terra Diaguita, located just 100 meters from the main square of La Serena, has two sectors located on the same street, offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in a charming colonial house. Best hotel I've encountered in La Serena by far. Wonderful outdoor patios to chat and relax in. Spacious and well-decorated rooms.
