Well kept property and very clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool very much. It is a short walk to the city center and the beach. You can book a breakfast at additional cost. We tried out different external breakfast options and liked Malehu the most for its great coffee. Sun umbrellas and chairs can be borrowed, which was awesome. Our room was very nice, much nicer than shown in the photos.

Lovely breakfast by the pool, our room was very nice and the location was good for the best beach we saw in Costa Rica. We were very lucky to see humpback whales on a boat trip with Francisco, which we booked over the road.

The beachfront Hotel el Velero boasts an outdoor pool and a private beach where you can choose to swim, lounge or relax. The location was fantastic. It was just steps away from the ocean. The sound of the waves was very relaxing. The staff went over the top to make our stay extremely pleasant.

We loved the convenient location, and everyone there could not have been nicer. Breakfast was delicious, and we so appreciate that they went out of their way to also make a breakfast for our 8 month old. The room was clean and quiet too! The hotel provided a tent and wagon for us to take what we needed down to the beach, and we had an absolute blast.
