Location of the hotel is very good, we were able to go to city centre by walking. Breakfast was delicious, we really enjoyed. What I loved in my experience is that the single room didn't feel like a hostel room at all, but like a welcoming warm home that invites you in with the beautiful themes, the cheerful recipients and the wonderful clean bathrooms. My room was "Tom" which was a fun experience on its own with its own beautiful quirks yet fully satisfying experience. The location of the hostel was quite central and the breakfast/living room is quite filled with goodies and lovely people to get to know. I would love to visit this place again in my next visit to Cologne.

Just an 8-minute walk to the nearest train station, the B-Hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the vibrant Old Town and the famous Königsallee shopping district. The best value for the money in this city. Not the cheapest one, but it has very nice, cozy, warm, stylish and what not rooms. The staff is there only until midday, afterwards they're available by phone. Room service, spare towels, toiletries, hair dryer, modern smart tv (supporting screen casting from a phone or pc, for example) etc. Super thought-through design, very comfortable to live in. Machine-made coffee (and some simple tea) are available in the morning for free, together with croissants. NB: The best restaurant nearby we've found is Le Gourmet.

The Hotel Achenbach is in a quiet side street within the Flingern district. It has elegant rooms with cable TV, work desks, and modern private bathrooms. Each room is equipped with an Android™ tablet computer, with which guests can access the internet at all times. The staff was very nice. The hotel itself is very cool, like an old castle yet the room was modern e.g. the bathroom.

The shower was superb, push button to get the temperature just perfect. The shower with colored lights was also such a cool touch. It’s a 5-7min walk to the cathedral and the central Stratton. The breakfast was good with decent choice. We really enjoyed our stay!
