Located at the entrance of Youghal Harbour, Avonmore House B&B is set in a Georgian house, on the grounds of a former Franciscan Abbey. It is just off a 5-mile sandy beach and less than 3 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Mary and John were extremely helpful. Our room was absolutely delightful, with a little sitting area in front of the TV set. Like everywhere in Ireland, therre were beautiful flowers everywhere. My travel companion especially liked the bedside lamps, which were of a beautifully simple design and allowed her to read easily when in bed. Also, since she has food allergy issues, Mary went out of her way to get her the food she wanted and could eat.

Such a gorgeous hotel. Cosy fire in the lounge, fluffy comfortable bed and towels, stylish decor, lovely staff. Also we had cocktails in the bar that were to die for. Loved the scenic fountain in the courtyard and the whole atmosphere. One of my favourite hotels I've stayed in in a long time.
Very trendy and cool. Very clean, staff clearly well coached , stunning design, great attention to detail.
Stunning house and gardens. Luxury from top to bottom. Our room was amazing with a fantastic balcony but then opening the double doors to our bathroom, wow! Our wonderful hosts Matti and Vanessa were so invested in making our stay the best it could be. From candles lit in the mornings to roaring fires at night, to gorgeous varied breakfasts. 10 out of 10 guys , would love to return Derek and Angela, Dublin

There’s no mini fridges in the room but you can request one. We had dinner in the bar which was so good, and breakfast was lovely, with fab views of the river. The pool and changing facilities were great, loved the outdoor heated pool, will deffo be back! staff were 10/10
The interior design was absolutely stunning, we loved how spacious it was & how homely it was. Veronica was the hostess with the mostess, honestly she couldn’t have done more for us with a fridge stocked, bottle of wine & a box of chocolates on arrival . She even helped me out for my best friends weddings by dropping me to the venue. Never stayed in a more lovely place.

Lovely and respectful staff, especially Amy and Aoife in the ground floor, a big thank you! Clean areas, smart interior design. Pool was great.
