It was charming, the hosts were warm and welcoming, and our room was lovely. It looks like an older Irish building but the inside is finished in modern, sleek materials. A wonderful sitting room for gathering with others was available. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Our top Ireland stay in three weeks!

Located at the entrance of Youghal Harbour, Avonmore House B&B is set in a Georgian house, on the grounds of a former Franciscan Abbey. It is just off a 5-mile sandy beach and less than 3 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Mary & John, thank you very much for hosting us during our 3 night stay in Youghal. Thank you for your warm care, friendly chats and delicious breakfasts! (especially John's oat bread 😋) The Avonmore B&B is a definitely place to stay when visiting Youghal! Perfectly located with a short distance to the beach and touristic attractions. A charming old building with its own history, will take you to the 18th century ;) Mary & John are the nicest hosts I've ever meet when traveling in Ireland - I could talk with you guys for hours and there would be always something else to talk about :) I will definitely return on my next visit in Youghal! The individually designed rooms offer a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The en suite bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Many of the rooms boast superb views of the Atlantic. Hotel is located directly on the coast, located adjacent to a beautiful sandy bay. Our room had superb views along the coast and out towards the ocean. Our room and much of the hotel had clearly just been decorated so everything seemed fresh, clean and new. Breakfasts and evening meals were very good, with a good choice and very attentive staff. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
