Amazing staff and hospitality. The hi tech systems in the room and toilet was mesmerizing. They have different restaurants for buffet and normal. We were very happy to be on the 15th floor. Food preparation was excellent.

Sitting on the top of Pasumalai Hill, The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai Madurai stretches over 62 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens. I have been traveling around the world in business for over 50 years, and stayed at many of the best hotels in the world, but I have to say, that the overall service attitude from ALL personell at Gateway hotell was more than excellent, room was clean and everything worked well all the time. The restaurant was nice, the service fantastic and had excellent food, both Indian and international food for everyone. And the reception was service minded from the beginning to the end. Most well known hotels say they are; "Your home away from home" but at Gateway I really felt that :-)

Our train trip was cancelled and he checked on line for reopening and rebooked tickets. Nothing was too much trouble. The property built in 1890 was a touch of England. Very quaint.
