We were lucky to have dinner there.

All rooms at the Palace San Giorgio come with modern design furniture and are equipped with minibar, air conditioning, and LCD TV with SKY channels. Some rooms overlook the valley and feature a stone bathroom. The staff was always available and kind. There were 2 entrances, and one took you directly to the center of Ragusa Ibla. The room was big and very confortable. The breakfast was also good, and we slept very well during the night.

B&B Villa San Marco is located actually in Agrigento's Valle dei Templi, only 500 metres from the major Greek temples. Its large garden includes a swimming pool.

Villa Athena, a modern 5-star hotel, is located within Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features a wellness centre, an outdoor pool, and both free parking and free Wi-Fi throughout. We had a booking in Agrigento but did not feel safe in the township so made a last minute booking for Hotel Villa Athena, a small luxury hotel set within an olive Grove in the valley of the temples. It was amazing from start to finish, customer focused, comfortable, amazing food and wine, and a front row view of the valley of the temples. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Aretusa Vacanze is located in a completely renovated 17th-century building at the centre of Syracuse's Ortygia Island. It offers self-catering rooms.

At Aretusa Vacanze B&B all rooms are spacious and offer a kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, and an LCD satellite TV. So many things. Great location, lovely room, super breakfast. For us, though, it was Stefano’s welcoming, helpful and engaging presence (he arranged parking, suggested tours, recommended restaurants) made this place special. We will fondly remember Stefano and his BnB!

Once home to Sicilian nobles, Villa Trigona’s elegant rooms and lounges still contain antiques. Rooms have lovely countryside views and on site you will find a lounge with an old fireplace, a small library and a TV room. The genuine welcome when we arrived. The charm and character of this beautiful country house, steeped in history. The original features, painted tiles, staircase… all give such a sense of being somewhere truly Sicilian. The food - breakfast is a feast! Dinner on the evening we were there was delicious and good value.

All rooms are fitted with a TV with satellite channels. Some rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom with a bidet and shower, with bath robes and free toiletries provided. It was really a surprise to find last minute, in a small town, a big and beautifully decorated B&B and room in a beautiful and sophisticated, classy style. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in in a month of traveling and staying in all types of accommodation from airbnbs to 4 and 5 star hotels. The bathroom was huge as was the shower - which my husband loved, since he usually has to squeeze into the typical tiny ones found throughout Italy. Breakfast was brought to your room. Hot cappuccino (our preference but you have choices), warm fresh assorted baked goods, jams, fresh fruit, cereal. Best of all though, was the fact that we arrived at the bus stop and because there were no taxis Clitizia picked us up with her car because we had many and heavy suitcases. Her English was very good and she was so very happy to help. A young mother, she’s a busy lady but took the time to make sure we were comfortable and our needs were met. FYI, Comiso is a great spot to stop if you are visiting some vineyards and don’t have a car. You can access taxis and guides to take you to vineyards that are very close by and get transport in and out via regional train and bus. Though it was only one night, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
