The well-appointed rooms include air conditioning and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities. We have been traveling around the world for 4 months and this was our favorite hotel. Here is why. Rooms have great design. You feel ensconced in the local culture. The views of the Mekong from all angles are gorgeous and the property itself is a complete oasis. The staff, especially the concierge Duan and our favorite waiter villa, are friendly and personable. The tuk tuk into town is super convenient we used it daily. The book of recommendations in each room was so helpful, never led us astray and we used it to plan our week. The silk class was a highlight of the trip and the day long class included a delicious lunch. Our meals at the hotel were delicious and a great range of options. The staff was sometimes stretched covering the whole property but it never bothered us and they were always friendly. Also they make amazing coffees at the bar. The garden view rooms are a great deal, because you can enjoy sunset from the restaurant. If you have more budget the Mekong River rooms are one of a kind.

Free toiletries are included in a private bathroom. Great hotel in central location. Walking distance to city centre and there is also a free shuttle service whenever you want. Very good food in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. The balcony had a view over the lovely poolarea. Great service from the staff who helped us get train tickets (that were complicated to buy). Highly recommended hotel!

Villa Ban Lakkham is a 5-minute walk to Phu Si Mountain and National Museum. Luang Prabang Airport is a 15-minute drive away. Tom and the staff were exceptional. Our train station pick-up was seamless. The location is quiet, yet within easy walking distance to the center of town. Breakfast hot and delicious. I really appreciated the free bananas available in the lobby. We left a suitcase with them when we did a traveling loop, and when we returned, it was like coming home to friends. We will certainly recommend staying here, if you travel to Luang Prabang.

Nice and helpful staff. Good cleaning. Good french style breakfast with fresh baugettes, excellent Lao coffee, omelette, yoghurt, fresh fruit. We believe we found the best place in Luang Prabang ;-)
