Brita and Heinz are wonderful hosts that really enjoy welcoming you into their home. The breakfast served on the terrace was exceptional. Our room and balcony view overlooking the Bay of Islands(Paihia) harbour was spectacular!! If visiting the area again we would stay at Allegra House!!

Each has a small kitchen and guest laundry can be found on site. it's a lovely place with wonderful owners. They're not only helpful with settling down but also with the plan of my trips afterwards. If you have a car, this should be the number one choice no matter you are going to kereikerei or pahia The swimming pool is lovely too

The retreat is 3 minutes’ drive from Flagstaff Hill Historic Reserve and Long Beach. It is 4 minutes’ drive from both Russell Museum and Russell Village. The accommodation was clean and well maintained. A great location and accessible to the beach etc.

They provided a great breakfast and additional food on our request. The cottage where we stayed was very suitable for our dog. The hosts are helpful and forthcoming, always giving a right advice.
